"Blessed, strong, confident, smart, blissfully happy, single-working-mommy"
I truly have been blessed with a wonderful life. I really couldn't ask for much more than what I have - the most amazing two-and-a-half-year-old little girl, a supportive and loving family, and friends that I love to the moon and back.

Jaedeanne's Questions & Answers
Question 1: Why do you deserve to Bring Home the Bacon?
Answer: Every single mommy that I know (myself included) is on a budget. Sure, sticking to a budget may seem depressing, restrictive, boring, blah, blah, blah.....IF you let it! I think that it's incredibly fun to find amazing deals in stores, online, or at garage/estate sales. Getting crafty and repurposing things can be just as fun as well! I also have a gift for coming up with delicious and creative recipes to use everything that I possibly can out of my pantry or freezer. Yum! I think that I deserve to Bring Home the Bacon for a few reasons. First....well....hey - who couldn't use an extra cool 100k in their bank account, am I right?!?! Secondly, I think that I would be an engaging correspondent to Cheap Sally for the year - I enjoy writing, have a sharp sense of humor (most days), and an uncanny knack for finding amazing deals . Lastly, and most importantly, as a single mom I always am striving to show my daughter that by working hard and being nice to people, you can accomplish any of your dreams!
Question 2: What are your current money saving strategies?
Answer: Currently, I subscribe to a few money-saving blogs for tips and tricks. I've learned quite a lot from these people and have trained myself to be on the lookout for good bargains, good resources, and good coupon combinations. Honestly, I love shopping. I don't remember the last time that I actually paid full-price for an item though. Either online or in-stores, I have a knack for finding the best deals !
Question 3: What is your greatest money saving feat?
Answer: Oh! Last weekend, I got SIX pairs of shoes (9 West, Bandolino, Alfani, etc.) from Macy's for $3.00!!! Ok, here's how it went down. I found out ahead of time that our Macy's was going to be having 75% off of some shoes during tax-free weekend. I got there as early as I could to find the best selection. And find them, I did! Heels, wedges, and esperadilles, oh my! While shopping, we also made friends with the Macy's shoe lady (it helps to have an adorable and well-behaved toddler with you). Always, always, always be nice to people! They can (and oftentimes will) help you out with deals at checkout! Ok, so fastforward to checkout. She rings us up and is impressed - $63 for all 6 pair. Savings of $262 at this point with the 75% off. I hand her my $20 off a $50 purchase coupon. Total comes to $43. I then pay the balance with a $40 prepaid credit card that I recieved from participating in a Marketing Research Study on laundry detergent. Total out of pocket - $3.00! My toes are SO happy!
Question 4: Who is your favorite member of the CheapSally extended family?
Answer: Playful Penny sounds so much like my Sweet Ruby! Isn't it amazing how one little person can make your worst day feel so incredibly perfect? Ruby also has a back-yard FULL of outdoor toys (all of which are from garage sales), a closet full of adorable smocked dresses (purchased during a mega-sale of a local botique), and enough books to last her a lifetime (thanks to a successful contest entry at the Amon Carter Museum of Art in our neighborhood)!
